OUR APPROACH
Building long-term community independence through collaboration, education and shared experiences
Wild Path Project believes in long-term relationships built on collaboration, cultural respect and direct field experiences connected to everyday life in Mozambique. The project works closely with local communities through practical support, environmental awareness, education and experiential activitiesA central part of the project’s vision is the sharing of knowledge and practical skills in order to support long-term local independence and community empowerment.Rather than creating permanent dependency, Wild Path Project aims to help communities gradually develop tools, that can continue independently over time. The project is designed as a sustainable and potentially replicable model based on participation, shared growth and long-term human relationships.
Our vision is that one day communities can continue growing independently while carrying forward what has been built together.

WHERE IT ALL STARTED
The school where Wild Path Project began
The Morronga primary school represents one of the first and most important starting points of Wild Path Project and the long-term relationship built with the local community.Through the school, the project began developing educational support activities, environmental awareness initiatives and practical community involvement connected to children and local families. This relationship later led to the creation of the first community vegetable garden and to a fundraising initiative supported by travelers of Black Wild Adventure who visited over the years and during the first Wild Path Campus season in 2025.Together with their families, friends and wider community, they made it possible to build the local water well supporting both the school and the surrounding area.Today, many of the current and future development plans connected to Ubuntu House, community support, education and local empowerment continue to grow from this shared path with the school and the Morronga community.
Wild Path Project was born from people who travelled, built relationships and chose to leave something meaningful behind.

WHAT COMES NEXT
Conservation and community growing together
From education and conservation activities, Wild Path Project gradually expanded into new community initiatives.Today, one of the project’s central areas of development is Ubuntu House a growing space dedicated to children, community wellbeing and long-term local opportunities.
UBUNTU HOUSE
Growing opportunities through care, education and community
Ubuntu House is the community care and social support initiative of Wild Path Project, created to support vulnerable children, families and individuals in Murronga, Mozambique.Inspired by the meaning of Ubuntu “I am because we are” the project promotes dignity, participation and long-term opportunities through practical support and community involvement.

HOW UBUNTU HOUSE STARTED
Ubuntu House was born thanks to a birthday fundraising initiative created by Costanza Minisci, currently representing Wild Path Project in Italy.Through the donations collected during her birthday campaign, Wild Path Project was able to open the first temporary Ubuntu House inside the home of JJ, one of our community marine eco-guides and a member of the Murronga community.Today, this small community space supports up to 20 children by providing food assistance, educational activities, literacy support, personal care, hygiene education and basic daily assistance. However, Ubuntu House currently operates within a small private property, limiting the number of children and activities that can be supported. For this reason, Wild Path Project is raising funds to purchase dedicated land near the local primary school, where the future Ubuntu House community center can grow together with the long-term development of the project. What started as a birthday initiative became the first step toward a long-term community space built together with the people who call this place home.

THE NEXT STEP
To expand Ubuntu House and welcome more children, Wild Path Project is raising funds to purchase dedicated land near the local primary school in Murronga. This future space will allow Ubuntu House to grow safely and sustainably, creating a permanent community area for education, food support, daily care and future development opportunities.
8,200 EUR
Land purchase + legal documentation + administrative procedures + initial setup costs
This amount will allow Wild Path Project to secure dedicated land near the local primary school in Murronga and complete the legal and administrative process needed to create the future home of Ubuntu House.
Current goal: start from the land and build the future together.

ACTIVE TODAY

SCHOOL GARDEN & WATER ACCESS
What is active today and what we are building for tomorrow

Creating opportunities beyond extraction
One of the first examples of local transformation supported by Wild Path Project began through the training of a fisherman from Murronga as a marine eco-guide.Through practical experience and direct involvement in tourism and environmental activities, he began transitioning from full-time fishing to becoming an active member of both the tour operator and Wild Path Project.Today he contributes through:
• Marine eco-guiding

WHY THIS PROGRAM EXISTS
Making school possible every day
One of the main reasons behind Child Sponsorship , and one of the reasons why the school garden was created, is to help provide a daily school lunch. For many families, food insecurity directly affects school attendance.By supporting meals and educational activities, the program aims to help children remain in school rather than needing to spend their time fishing or engaging in other activities to contribute to food access. The goal is not only to support education but to create the conditions that make education possible.
